How Humanitarian Leadership Consulting Ltd handles personal information when you visit this website or contact us.
Who we are
This website is run by Humanitarian Leadership Consulting Ltd, trading as Humanitarian Leadership Consultancy (company number 12813822). We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can contact us about privacy at hello@humanitariancoach.org.
Visiting this website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking tools, and it has no forms. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.
When you email us
If you email us, we receive your name, email address and anything you choose to include. We use this to reply, to discuss possible work and, if we agree to work together, to set up and deliver that work. Please share only what is appropriate for a first email. We can agree a suitable way to discuss sensitive information later.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and, where work goes ahead, the steps needed to enter into and perform a contract with you or your organisation.
Who we share it with
HLC is a network of independent practitioners. With your agreement, we may share an enquiry with the practitioners who could lead or contribute to the work. We do not sell personal information or use it for marketing without your consent.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards, usually no more than two years if no work follows. Records of contracted work are kept for as long as needed for legal, accounting and professional purposes.
Coaching
Confidentiality and its limits are agreed with each coaching participant, and any commissioner, before coaching starts. Coaching notes are kept securely and are not shared as a performance report.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email us and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
